However, the bottom line is that we all had a great time, with terrific music, dancing, and an opportunity to ‘catch up’.

To All of the Wonderful Volunteers!

Please accept this as an enormous thanks, from myself, the Folk Festival Committee, the visitors at the festival, and the Numeralla community – for all of the time and effort you all put in to help out in the kitchen at the 38^th Numeralla Folk Festival.

You donated your skills, your baking, your smiles, your patience with my lack of culinary skills, and most importantly your time. Many of you went above and beyond and for that I am very grateful, as it made the kitchen run smoothly for up to 16 hours a day!!

Thank you for the support you personally gave me, the committee, and your community. Every cent raised in the kitchen goes back to our community groups, and I’m really pleased that this year we cleared around $4,300 – that’s just the kitchen (compared to $2,500 last year). So combined with the bar, BBQ, markets, raffle and t-shirt sales it looks like we’ve raised a record amount for the community this year.

Volunteers like you have been keeping the festival alive for almost 40 years, so thank you again for being involved with such a unique and special part of our community’s continuing history.

I hope to see you all next year!! Please don’t hesitate to give me any feedback – I’d love to know how you think things could be done better, what works, what doesn’t work. The committee will be holding the Folk Festival de-brief meeting at the hall on Tuesday 28^th February at 6pm. You are all most welcome to attend!

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 10^th January, 6pm at the Hall.

During December / January, we will be approaching local groups and community members to volunteer for the kitchen, bar, and BBQ rosters and a working bee at the hall and  campgrounds before the festival.
